In Northern California, which felt the brunt of the storm earlier in the week, residents are bracing for another round of cold weather early next week. Yosemite National Park announced it will be closed until Wednesday due to rain, wind and snow in the forecast.
In Southern California, scattered showers with hail or graupel are expected to continue overnight, with most storms accompanied by thunderstorms Sunday morning. Sunday is expected to clear before another storm system moves in on Monday, according to the weather service.
In the mountains, the weather service predicts up to three inches of moderate snowfall will continue through Sunday afternoon, leaving many mountain roads impassable and strong winds that could bring down trees.
