The App Store is down along with Apple TV, Apple Podcasts and Apple Music

An outage to Apple's online services cut many of us off from the App Store, Apple TV and Apple Music on Wednesday night. The System Status page Apple's online service noted an outage starting at 6:31PM ET, affecting those services, as well as Arcade, audiobooks, books, podcasts, Fitness Plus and its new Apple Sports app.

Right now, the status page lists “outage resolved” as of 7:35PM ET, and it looks like they're back up and running. The @AppleSupport X did not list the reason for the account issues, but advised users to visit the status page for more information.

We didn't see any specific error messages other than the failed to connect message received when trying to update or install apps, stream TV shows, or play music. Severe outages like this don't happen often for Apple, but it comes hours after a global WhatsApp outage caused problems for other meta services like Facebook, Instagram and Threads.

Updated April 3, 7:55PM ET: He noted that the power outage had been resolved.
