Beam, 42, had about 4 million followers on Twitch and a lucrative streaming deal at the time of the ban. He now streams to 4.73 million YouTube subscribers. Twitch and YouTube did not respond to requests for comment. (Twitch is owned by Amazon, whose founder Jeff Bezos owns The Washington Post.)

“Now from a moral standpoint, I take full responsibility,” Beam wrote in the post. “I should never have had the pleasure of starting these conversations. It’s on me. It’s on me as an adult, as a husband, as a father. He’s not a “predator or a pedophile,” he said. Attempts to reach Beeham on Tuesday were unsuccessful.
In a 2020 interview with The Washington Post, shortly after the ban, Beam said Twitch’s decision was a “total shock” and said he didn’t know why he was kicked off the platform. He said he settled a lawsuit against the company in 2022, saying “neither party will admit any wrongdoing.”
Since the indictment surfaced on Friday, some of Beeham’s business partnerships have been dissolved. He co-founded video game studio Midnight Society in 2021. on Monday, Studio X said It “presumed his innocence and started talking to the concerned parties” and immediately severed its ties with Bheem. On Tuesday, popular gaming accessories company Turtle Beach confirmed that it is no longer partnering with him.
Beeham revealed the four-year mystery of why Twitch terminated its multi-year contract with him in 2020. Behem’s contract only lasted a few months before Twitch severed ties.
